Sansaar Care delivered a large-scale, child-focused educational support initiative in Pakistan aimed at improving access to education and school attendance for underprivileged children.

As part of this initiative, Sansaar Care provided approximately 1,200 school uniforms to children from low-income families attending local schools. The provision of uniforms removed a significant financial barrier to education and supported children to attend school with dignity, confidence, and a sense of inclusion.

This activity was delivered in April 2025 and was supported by direct engagement with children, schools, and the local community.

Identified Need and Context

In many low-income communities in Pakistan, families struggle to meet the basic costs associated with education. The inability to afford school uniforms often results in:

  • Irregular school attendance
  • Children missing school entirely
  • Social exclusion and reduced confidence among pupils

Sansaar Care identified the lack of school uniforms as a practical and solvable barrier preventing children from accessing education. Addressing this need aligned directly with the charity’s purpose of supporting children’s development, wellbeing, and future opportunities.

Beneficiaries and Public Benefit

The primary beneficiaries of this charitable activity were approximately 1,200 school-aged children, including boys and girls from economically disadvantaged households.

Public benefit was delivered through:

  • Increased access to education for children who might otherwise be excluded
  • Improved school attendance and participation
  • Enhanced confidence and wellbeing for children able to attend school appropriately dressed

The scale of the intervention ensured widespread benefit to children across the community, rather than isolated individual support.

Support Delivered

Sansaar Care’s charitable activity included the following clearly identifiable outputs:

  • Provision and distribution of approximately 1,200 school uniforms
  • Engagement with schools to identify children most in need
  • Direct interaction with children during distribution to ensure appropriate sizing and respectful delivery
  • Supplementary encouragement and educational engagement with pupils

The uniforms were provided free of charge and distributed in an organised, child-centred manner to ensure fairness, dignity, and accessibility.

Outcomes and Impact (Including Children’s Feedback)

The immediate and observed outcomes of this intervention included:

  • Children returning to or continuing school attendance
  • Increased confidence and pride among children receiving uniforms
  • Positive emotional responses from children, reflected in written feedback expressing happiness, motivation, and gratitude

Children reported feeling more confident attending school and expressed appreciation for being supported. Teachers and community members noted improved engagement among pupils following the distribution.

Risk, Safeguarding, and Governance Considerations

The activity was delivered in partnership with local schools and community leaders, ensuring:

  • Appropriate adult supervision during distribution
  • Respectful and age-appropriate engagement with children
  • No collection or publication of identifiable personal data

Sansaar Care retained records of planning, delivery, and feedback. Safeguarding responsibility during school-based activity rested with the educational institutions, supported by Sansaar Care’s child-first approach.

Learning and Future Application

This case study demonstrates that:

  • Practical, tangible support (such as school uniforms) can have a significant impact on children’s access to education
  • Addressing basic barriers can lead to immediate improvements in attendance and wellbeing
  • Large-scale, community-based interventions can deliver strong public benefit efficiently

Learning from this initiative will inform Sansaar Care’s future educational support programmes, particularly those aimed at reducing preventable barriers to schooling for children.
